just thought of something. neil's reason for living and choosing happiness has always been exy, his happy ending was exy.

but is exy jean's happy ending?

jean never chose exy. he was forced into it.

i cant wait to see what ending is nora gonna give him.

we are so used to the narrative being told through neil's exy obsessed eyes, i cant wait to see how its gonna be like from someone who might decide to put exy down in the future.

imagine one day andrew and neil get married and neil takes the surname minyard, and not a day after the forms are signed, the feds show up at neil's door like "we told you not to change your name ever again" and neil is like "i got married, im not abandoning my identity, chill." and the feds are like "minyard... YOU MARRIED THAT GUY?" insert feds having flashbacks to the hotel scene where andrew threatens a federal agent just to see neil. and neil is like. yeah.

alternatively, imagine neil having to ask the feds for permission to change his surname because of marriage and they see who hes marrying on some file and are like. WHY HIM?!

I saw this magnolia seed cone on a walk today and it was so weird and vaguely saurian that I had to share. It was as long as my hand!

Fun Fact: Magnolias evolved before the existence of bees, so the flowers are meant to attract beetle pollinators. Then they turn into this freaky thing (the flower, not the beetles.)

Additional fun fact: magnolias are native to every continent with plants on the planet, because, apart from bees, they also predate the concept of more than one continent.
